I am Wendy Lor.  I have been a jewellery artisan for more than 20 years.  My grandfather was a jeweller, as was my father. The funny thing is I did not want to be a jeweller when I was growing up.  But while studying Visual Arts in Australia, a calling came and I was irresistibly drawn back to the stage that had been set since the day I was born. I have never looked back since.

I created my first pair of wedding ring for a couple back in 1998.  Along the way, other couples heard about me and my unique way of drawing inspiration from their love stories and putting the essence that binds them into their wedding ring.  The inspiration came to me naturally as I was always inspired by life itself.

 

The Catalyst in 2009

 

A trigger came in year 2009 - 11 years after creating my first pair of unique wedding band.  A couple had to search high and low for me and when they finally did, I realized that I was indeed not easily found.  My team at WendyLorArtisans then decided it was time to be a bit louder in what we do and how we do it.  Most importantly, we had to be accessible.

 

My passion, my love

 

I love creating wedding rings - I do other jewellery too, mostly personalized pieces.  But nothing gives me more thrill than creating a pair of unique wedding bands.  For I love celebrations and getting married is one of the most important celebrations in life.

 

Your wedding band - not just a metal circle with a hole

 

A wedding ring is a symbol of unity between two souls. A wedding band helps you remember the perfect moments that you both have together, the precious feelings you have for each other and the multitude of reasons for why you were always meant to be. It is something you carry with you every single day, all your lives.  Through good times and bad. Even in times of conflict, a glance at the rings would remind you of your personal message of love, in a bond forged for eternity.  And perhaps, you might realize that whatever made you so angry was not so important. After all, life is too short to sweat over the small stuff...Love is indeed a wonderful thing and Love can really make the world go round.
